After taking up long distance running later in life, I was introduced to the benefits of sports massage. I decided to retrain after finding a course on the NLSSM website which took me to the highest qualification in remedial massage, BTEC level 5 in sports and remedial therapy. I found a passion I never knew I had to help heal and rehabilitate injuries and all soft tissue complaints. Over time I have added to my qualifications in order to do the best I can for my clients, dry needling, acupuncture, pregnancy massage, oncology massage and clinical yoga training.
I am a member of the SMA as such I undertake over 30 hours of continued professional development every year to keep up to date with new techniques, and a registrant of CNHC, a government led professional body which allows me to take referrals from medical professions, a big leap forward for our industry.
I still run and support my local club as much as possible, and love pottering in the garden, walking the dogs and chatting over a cup of tea!
